PAMELA BADJOGO

From: Gabon/France
On stage: Thu 13 Apr 22:00

Pamela is an afro-jazz artist from Gabon and former member of the group ‘Les Amazones d'Afrique'. The Gabonese singer with a Bantu Soul voice presented «Kaba», her second album recorded between Accra, Berlin and Paris.

After learning and evolving alongside Salif Keita, Oumou Sangaré or Cheick Tidiane Seck ... she now signs her musical identity : a bubbling cocktail mixing Afro-pop, Bantu-style highlife and Afrobeat which immerses us in the effervescence of the restless nights of Central Africa.

On stage with her musical director Kwame Yeboah, multi-instrumentalist and architect of the albums of the iconic Ghanaian highlife singer Pat Thomas, the charismatic singer is part of the current trend with her catchy pop melodies.

She also puts her music at the service of a joyful feminism as she likes to call it.

His music is solar and rhythmic, his lyrics are explicit. The mistreatment suffered by women in Africa and elsewhere, the Gabonese singer has made it the commitment of a lifetime
